Slack Outage Causes Lag, Message Errors, Blank Screens Worldwide
Slack is experiencing a worldwide outage causing problems sending messages, editing messages, lag in chats, and channels displaying a blank screen.
The Slack outage began at approximately 10:10 AM EST, and according to DownDetector, is predominantly affecting users in the USA and Europe.

Those affected by the outage are experiencing a wide variety of issues ranging from channels showing blank screens, lag in messages being displayed, or errors when attempting to send a message.
In BleepingComputer’s tests, we also encountered numerous issues trying to edit an existing message, as shown below.
The Slack status page shows widespread issues across the entire service.
When viewing the outage’s details, though, Slack states that they are aware of the issue but have not explained what is causing the problems.
“Some users may be unable to connect to Slack, while others are still experiencing general performance issues. Our team is working to get to the bottom of this and we will share more news soon.”
“There are no changes to report as yet, but we’re continuing to dig in on our side and will update you again in 30 minutes,” Slack’s status report explains.
